Setting
Access Point dengan Merk TP-LINK seri TL WA601 G, :Setting Client, (update berikutnya tentang AP buat hotspotan)
1. Ubah IP komputermu
menjadi 192.168.17.2
dengan subnet mask 255.255.255.0
cara mengubahnya :
control panel -> network connection -> Local Area Network ->
properties -> TCP/IP -> properties
2. Buka web browser
kemudian ketik 192.168.1.1
(ini IP default Radio tersebut) dan masukan user : admin, pass : admin
3. Pilih menu wireless
kemudian pilih basic
setting
4. Pilih client dan
masukan SSID dan MAC yang anda maksudkan, apabila anda belum yakin dengan nama
SSIDnya anda bisa mencarinya lewat tombol surver yang berada di paling bawah
menu, namun sebelumnya perlu di ingat untuk memilih option client terlebih
dahulu
5. klik tombol survey.
6. Klik tombol connect
7. Kembali ke awal menu
dan centang pilihan reboot, kemudian klik tombol save.
Membuat
hotspot menggunakan HP Nokia N95 saya bisa konek ke Internet di rumah,

Langkah-langkahnya :
1. Colokan kabel UTP
dari radio ke Kompi/Laptop

Masuk
ke Radionya

Isi IP Komputer = IP
Address : 192.168.1.2
Subnet Musk : 255.255.255.0
Subnet Musk : 255.255.255.0

OK dan Close
5.
Buka
Browser Internet, isi Address : 192.168.1.1 (enter)
6.
Isi User : admin
7.
Password
: admin
Setelah
masuk ke radio, di menu sebelah kiri cari :

9. Basic Settings
10. Ganti SSID misal
“Paijo Hot Spot Free”
11. di Access Point = centang
Enable SSID Broadcast
12. centang Reboot
13. Save
14. Tunggu booting
beberapa saat
15. Copot kabel UTP di
kompi
16. Colokin ke sumber
internet misal Sapidy Personal
17. Search dengan
SmartPhone, PDA, Laptop dan siap Browsing
18. Selesai
2. Change the LAN IP
Address of the Wireless Repeater
The default LAN IP
address of TL-WA501G/TL-WA601G is 192.168.1.1. So if the LAN IP of the remote
AP or wireless Router is 192.168.1.1 too, you¡¯d better change the LAN IP
address of TL-WA501G/TL-WA601G to avoid IP Conflict.
That
is, if the LAN IP of the remote AP or Wireless Router isn¯t 192.168.1.1, you
don¡¯t need do
anything
in this step, please skip to next step.
Step
1: Open
the web browser and type the LAN IP address of the router in the address bar,
the default IP address of TP-LINK router is 192.168.1.1, and then press Enter.
Step 2 Type the username
and password in the login page, the default username and password both are admin
in lower case.
Step 3: Click Network
on the left, change the LAN IP address in the IP Address field. Then
press the Save button to reboot the Access Point and Enable the new IP
address.
Note:
The IP address
should be in the range of the same subnet with your wireless router. The Subnet
mask should be 255.255.255.0; the default gateway is the same with your
gateway device (such as wireless router)¡¯s IP address which is
usual192.168.1.1.
3. Set up Repeater
Mode on TL-WA501G/ TL-WA601G
Note: Before we set up the
Access Point to Repeater mode, please make sure the remote AP or wireless
router is powered on and working normally.
After login the
web-based utility of TL-WA501G/TL-WA601G by using the new IP address, we can
set the Access Point as Repeater Mode now.
Step 4: Click Wireless -> Basic
Settings on the left of the page, select the Repeater. If the
wireless router which you want to repeat is not supporting WDS we can enable
Universal Repeater.
Step 5:
Click Survey Button in the bottom of the page.
Then
it will find the SSID of Wireless Routers in the AP list. Select the SSID
of your own Wireless Router and click connect.
Step
6:
Select Reboot and Click the Save button in the page of Basic
Settings to save your settings. Then the router will reboot and repeat the
signal of your wireless router automatically.
Step 7: Make your wireless connection
to ¡°Obtain an IP address automatically¡± and then detect the signal of
your wireless router and connect it.
Step
8: Check
the wireless connection, if it is shown similar as following picture,
congratulation, now you have extended the range of your wireless network.

Here
we take Windows XP as an example, and please make certain that your Ethernet
Adapter is working well.
Step
1
On the Windows taskbar, click the Start->Control Panel, then
select and double-click Networking Connections.
Step

Right Click Local Area Connection, select and click Properties.
Step
3 Select
Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), then double click it or click Properties.
Step
4
The TCP/IP Properties window will display, there are two ways to configure the
TCP/IP Properties, automatically or manually.
1.
Assigned automatically by DHCP server
Select
Obtain an IP address automatically and even Obtain DNS server address
automatically if necessary, then click OK to save the settings.
2.
Assigned manually
Select Use the following IP address, type IP address, subnet mask and
default gateway IP address into it.
Select Use the following DNS server addresses, type your local area DNS
server IP addresses into it.
Step
5
Click OK to save and apply your settings.
Note:
1.
The IP address should be in range of 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.253, you can use
anyone of them. The Subnet mask should be 255.255.255.0; the default gateway is
usual 192.168.1.1 which is the same with your router¡¯s IP address.
2.
The DNS server addresses are provided by your ISP, please contact with your ISP
to check them.
Suitable
for : Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista
If
you had configure your computer as Obtain an IP address automatically,
some times such as after you change the IP address of your router, then you
need renew the IP address of your computer to access the network/router.

For Windows 2000/XP/2003
Step
1
Click Start->Run, type cmd and press Enter.
Step
2 Type
ipconfig /release at the prompt window, press Enter, it will
release the current IP configuration.
Step
3
Type ipconfig /renw at the prompt window, press Enter, wait for a
while, the DHCP server will assign a new IP address for your computer.
2.
For Vista
Step
1 Click Start on the task bar, type cmd into the search box
and press Enter.
Step
2
Type ipconfig /renew at the prompt window, wait for a while, the DHCP
server will assign a new IP address for your computer.
